Carbon Monoxide Detection Devices in Dwellings

Carbon Monoxide Detection Devices in Dwellings

A new law requiring carbon monoxide detectors in rental units will be affecting property owners in New Hampshire. The law took affect on January 1, 2010 for new construction. There seems to be a misunderstanding on the compliance dates for existing construction.  The Division will be recommending a two-year phase in process.

Please read the enclosed Informational Bulletin 2009-07 from the State of New Hampshire Department of Safety, Division of Fire Safety for all the details.
